School library development festival: Taninthayi Region CM attended and opened the festival

Supervised by the Taninthayi Region Government, co-organized by Information and Public Relations Department and Department of Basic Education, the festival of school libraries development and raising reading habit was held at No (4) Basic Education High School in Dawei Township in the morning on September 4. 

First, Chief Minister U Myat Ko, Chief Justice of Region High Court Daw Paik Paik Aye, Region Minister for Social Affairs U Thet Naing opened the festival by cutting the ceremonial ribbon and took a documentary photo.

Next, the Chief Minister viewed the art performing of the students, presented cash assistance, encouraged the students from Agriculture and Livestock Breeding training school, provided copy books and food supplement eggs individually.

Then, the Chief Minister and party viewed around the exhibitions, contests and fun fairs, cordially greeted the students participated in the festival and provided copy books.

The festival is participated by 1,300 students from Basic Education High School No (4), (5), (8) and Maha Shwe Gon Htoo Private High School and the prize presenting ceremony to the prize winners will be held on 5th September, it’s reported.
