School Health Week Campaign: Chief Minister attends the ceremony in Bago

The School Health Week campaign regional Level commemorative ceremony for 2022-2023 academic year was held at the city hall in Bago on Monday.
Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win said that uplifting health standard of the students plays a key role for building a healthy social community and increasing the average life expectancy of individuals.
Only when the student youths are healthy and intelligent, they will lead the future state. That’s why, efforts are made to take care of the students’ health.
The Chief Minister called for relevant departments, student parents and people to cooperate in promoting health standard of the students who are good human resource for the nation.
The Chief Minister then enjoyed entertainments of the students and presented honoraria. Later, a video clip on “School Health Week” was shown.
The Chief Minister and party also gave Vitamin (A) pills to the students and presented gifts and viewed around the booths on school health week activities.
They also provided nutritious food to the students from the basic education schools in Bago. As part of school health week program in Bago Region for 2022-2023 academic year, health check-ups were provided to 68,655 students from 1,140 schools.
It has been reported that 82 percent of the students at the age of 5 to 12 years have vaccinated against the second dose of COVID-19 and 90 percent of students over the age of 12 have received the second dose.
