School Enrollment: Mon State launched the ceremony in Mawlamyine

The Nationwide School Enrollment for 2023-2024 Academic Year was held on 29th May while Mon State held its launching ceremony at No.6 Basic Education High School in Mawlamyine.

It was attended by Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein and officials, Township Education Officers, school principals, parents and students. The ceremony was opened with the song by students from No.9 Basic Education High School.

Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein extended greetings to the teachers, parents and students for their enthusiasm and support to achieve the goal of enrollment of all school-going age children. It is very encouraging for the students who have passed the middle school because there will be more job opportunities through the access of basic education (high school level), industrial, agricultural and livestock breeding.

He also urged the parents, educational staff and community organizations to provide their strong support all school-age children to complete their basic education level especially those needy children. After hearing the reports on progress of school enrollment in Mon State, the State Chief Minister provided the text books, note books, stationery and uniforms for the school children through officials.

Mon State Education Officer also presented certificates of honor to the well-wishers for their cash donation for the Nationwide School Enrollment Project.
