School Enrollment Awareness: Efforts to ensure enrollment of all school-aged children

A ceremony to erect a school enrollment awareness signboard for the 2026–2027 academic year was held in Pyay on Saturday. The event took place in front of the Bago Region Education Office, where students from No. (1) Basic Education High School welcomed guests with band performances and traditional dances.

Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, regional hluttaw speaker, and ministers formally opened the campaign, aimed at encouraging all school-age children to enroll in school.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of education for national development and urged efforts to increase school enrollment, student retention, and grade transition rates. He also distributed free school uniforms, textbooks, and stationery provided by the government to primary, middle, and high school students.

The Chief Minister and officials later viewed educational awareness booths promoting school enrollment for all children in the 2026–2027 academic year.
