State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi continued her visit to Chin State on Monday. The State Counsellor together with Union Ministers, Chin State Chief Minister and many other officials attended the Gateway Arch and Tower opening ceremony at the View Point in Hakha. Afterwards, she visited the Tower.
The State Counsellor also visited No.2 Basic Education High School and met with teachers and students for inquiries.
Also, she visited Hakha College’s classrooms, lab and library.
The State Counsellor continued her trip to Falam and met with the locals. The State Counsellor stressed closed relations between the government and citizens in a democratic system. She also highlighted environmental conservation and deforestation.
The State Counsellor also urged the State Government to work on nutrition program and pledged the Union Government’s assistance for education and health sectors in the state. The locals reported on requirements and officials fulfilled. The meeting ended with the State Counsellor’s provision of rice and oil.
The State Counsellor also visited Tedim and met with the locals. She stressed plans for the development of Chin State including electricity project to be carried out in Tedim in the fiscal year of 2019-2020. The locals reported on requirements – officials and the State Counsellor made discussion to fulfill the requirements.
