SarsoBeikman Project: MOI Union Minister visits the project site

The SarsoBeikman Project is being implemented by Printing and Publishing Department on behalf of the Ministry of Information.

The facility will be constructed in 2.18 acres of land plot in U Yin Ward of MingalarTaungNyunt Township, Yangon Region. Four buildings inside the project area have been sold at auction.

On Saturday, Union Minister U MaungMaungOhn visited the project site to oversee the progress of dismantling of old buildings. The Union Minister instructed to make coordination with relevant departments in removing trees at the plot.

Myanmar and India signed a project agreement for construction of SarsoBeikman on 18th March with the assistance of Indian Government. SarsoBeikman building will be a 52,128 square feet RC building.

The Department of Urban and Housing Development designed the structure of SarsoBeikman building,with budget estimation by Department of Building. A price proposal for SarsoBeikman building as 2-year project was invited, and the submitted proposals had already been conducted in line with the procedures. 

To monitor the progress of the project, a Joint Project Monitoring Committee-JPMC has been organized by 11-members of officials from Myanmar and India.
