Sangha Pavarana ceremony: Mon State CM attended the ceremony

The Sangha Pavarana ceremony of Suddhama Sangha Sect was held at Mya See Sar Pariyatti Sarthintaik in Mawlamyaing Township of Mon State in the morning on 17th October and attended by State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, Secretary of State Government, well-wishers and invited guests.

At the ceremony, the congregation led by the Chief Minister observed eight precepts administered by presiding Sayadaw of Mya Ceti Sarthintaik Baddanta Vimalabuddhi, offered Buddha image made of black teakwood each member of Sangha and offertories.

After taking sermon delivered by the Mya Ceti Sayadaw, shared merits gained and offered day meal to the members of Sangha.

On the full moon day of Thadingyut month, about 300 members of Sangha from 17 monasteries who completed their Rains Retreat for three months and participated in Pavarana ceremony at Mya See Sar Pariyatti Sarthintaik were offered dry provisions by the well-wishers, it’s reported.
