






The contests of 25th Anniversary (Silver Jubilee) Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Central Level Competitions 2024 continued at the designated places in Nay Pyi Taw on 17th October.
On 4th Day of the competition, Classical and Modern songs singing contest, Dancing contest, Song Composing contest, piano, flute, violin, traditional orchestra troupe contest, Marionette theatrical drama contest as well as theatrical drama contest were hosted at MICC-2, Yin Kyay Hmu Yadana Hall of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Training Theatre, National Museum, National Library and Open Theatre respectively.
Members of State Administration Council, Lt-General Yar Pyae, Dr. Ba Shwe and his wife, Chairman of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union U Aung Zaw Thein, Union Ministers U Ko Ko Hlaing, U Aung Kyaw Hoe, U Tin Oo Lwin, U Min Naung, U Hla Moe, Dr. Nyunt Pe, U Min Thein Zan, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, senior military officers from the office of the Commander in Chief and many other concerned officials enjoyed the 4th day of the contests.
Since 1993, the Myanmar Traditional Performing Arts Competition has been held annually in accord with four objectives: to uplift national prestige and integrity and to preserve the cultural heritage and national characteristics; to explore, preserve and uplift the traditional cultural heritage of performing arts of ethnic nationals and national cultural characteristics; to explore and preserve the traditional cultural heritage for the young generation and further propagate the national spirit; and to serve as a national cultural entity for State development, peace, and stability.
This year marks the Silver Jubilee of the Competition. Moreover, the competition is the pride of Myanmar since it supports for uplifting the national prestige and integrity, preserving the cultural heritage and national characteristics and promoting the national spirit.
