






The Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a speech at the State Administration Council meeting held at the SAC Chairman's office meeting room in Nay Pyi Taw on 19th November.
The meeting was attended by the SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, SAC Secretary General Aung Lin Dwe, Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Council members, and officials. In his speech, the Prime Minister who had recently led the Myanmar delegation on an official visit to the People's Republic of China, highlighted several key activities undertaken during the trip.
These included attending high-level meetings in Kunming, China, meeting with Mr. Li Qiang, the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China, engaging in discussions with Mr. Yuan Jiajun, a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China and the Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, and meeting with Mr. Wang Ning, a member of the Politburo and the Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee.
During the trip, the Myanmar delegation also had fruitful discussions with leaders from other countries attending the summit. The Prime Minister highlighted the study tours to the prominent locations, universities, factories and workshops in Kunming, Chongqing and Shenzhen cities.
The Prime Minister also noted that the trip was a successful one for the country, as it yielded positive economic outcomes and strengthened the friendship, cooperation, and solidarity between the two nations. It also contributed to enhancing Myanmar’s role in international affairs and promoting closer ties with friendly countries.
Additionally, the Prime Minister mentioned that during the trip, he had the opportunity to meet with the leaders of other countries at the GMS (Greater Mekong Subregion) meeting and engage in bilateral talks. These discussions focused on Myanmar’s current situation, its ongoing efforts, and the support for Myanmar has received from friendly nations in various international forums. During his meeting with Mr. Li Qiang, the Prime Minister of China, it was noted that this was the only bilateral meeting Mr. Li had with a GMS attending leader.
In this meeting, Mr. Li discussed the situation in Myanmar and reiterated China’s continuous support for Myanmar’s government efforts to maintain domestic stability and peace. He also reaffirmed China’s full support for Myanmar's five point-roadmap, as outlined by the SAC, and emphasized China’s commitment to supporting Myanmar’s political stability and the country’s transition processes, China would continue to provide assistance to Myanmar in various sectors, including promoting trade and economic cooperation, particularly along the Myanmar-China border, Chinese Government’s unwavering commitment to respecting Myanmar's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the rights of its people, reiterating its support for Myanmar's border trade management and the development of infrastructure.
China emphasized the importance of mutual development and prosperity through enhanced bilateral cooperation etc. The council members discussed that, at present, the Loikaw area has returned to stability and peace. As such, the displaced persons from Loikaw area have expressed their desire to return and settle back in their original places.
They emphasized the need for the entire nation, including the government and ethnic communities, to unite and cooperate in shaping a prosperous future for the country. Regarding areas affected by natural disasters, the government has ensured that food security is maintained for the affected communities, and continues to carry out rebuilding efforts in those regions.
In respond to the clarifications of the SAC members, the SAC Chairman gave necessary instructions and delivered a speech of conclusion.
