S. Korea says N. Korean Missile test likely failed

South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement that North Korea launched a ballistic missile from its capital region on Wednesday. The statement said the missile was launched toward the North’s eastern waters, but the launch was suspected to have ended in failure.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff said South Korean, Japan and U.S. intelligence authorities are analyzing details of the North Korean launch. According to the news conference of Japan Government, it is believed to be an intermediate-range ballistic type that uses solid fuel.
