Russian prisoners of war arrive in Moscow

Plane carrying Russian prisoners of war released by Ukraine in the third exchange of the week arrived in Moscow on June 12th.

Previous exchanges took place on Monday and Tuesday and involved injured soldiers and people under the age of 25. Russia and Ukraine agreed at talks in Istanbul last week to each free more than 1,000 prisoners of war and to send back the bodies of war dead. All of those freed were wounded or aged under 25. Ukrainian officials said more exchanges were expected in the coming days.
