Russian President Putin visits Kursk Region

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the border region of Kursk on May 20. During the visit, Putin met the region's governor, spoke with local volunteers, and inspected the site of a multi-billion-dollar nuclear power plant under construction. In a meeting with Acting Governor of Kursk, Putin called for demining teams to be expanded and pledged to continue monthly payments of around $800 to residents.
