Russian plane carrying injured arrives near Moscow after jet crashes in Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan held a national day of mourning Thursday after a passenger jet from the flag carrier crashed in Kazakhstan killing 38 people and 29 survivors have been hospitalized.

Eleven of the injured are in intensive care, the Kazakh Health Ministry said. 12 of the survivors were being flown to Azerbaijan when other injured Russian nationals also arrived at Zhukovsky airport in the Moscow region on Thursday.

The experts pointed to apparent shrapnel damage on the wreckage as evidence of a possible missile explosion.
