Russian oil tanker in distress in Kerch Strait with 13 people on board

The Russian oil tanker Volgoneft 212 sank in the Kerch Strait. According to Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations, the vessel “Volgoneft 212” in the Kerch Strait has been damaged due to bad weather.

There are 13 people on board and the crew has requested assistance. It is known that the vessel is carrying oil products and information about the spill is being clarified.

A second tanker, Volgoneft 239, has also been damaged in the Kerch Strait with 14 people and oil products on board.
