Russia Trip: Union Minister for Electric Power visitng St. Petersburg

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han together with the Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Lwin Oo attended the second day of International Economic Forum 2023 at St.Petersburg on 15th June.

And the Union Minister and party also attended the signing ceremony on Memorandum of Understanding – MOU between the Ministry of Electric Power of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Nova Wind JSC, Primus Advanced Technologies Ltd. of the Russian Federation for wind power projects research in Min Hla (116 MW) and Mindong (56 MW) power plants in Magway Region.

And, they also attended the MOU signing event between the Ministry of Electric Power and Nova Wind JSC ၊ Zeya & Associates Co.,Ltd. of the Russian Federation to make research on Popa (200 MW) wind power projects in Kyaukpadaung and Nyaung-U townships.

After that, the Union Minister and party met with Mr. Alexey Likhachev, Director General of Rosatom and discussed cooperation in production of electricity. They also met with the CEO of Roscongress and discussed cooperation in production of electricity from solor power.
