






Russia on Friday sent a cargo plane of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan following last weekend's powerful quake that authorities say killed at least 2,200 people. Russia delivered 20 tonnes of food to Kabul for people affected by the quake.

For IFRC said "All of these items are going with the trucks to the Kunar province, and there, they will be looking... some of them can be distributed locally, and some of them they might need [to] transport them further or more remote communities where there is no road access at the moment, but for us, as a supporting partner here, Afghan Red Crescent is doing the last mile."
The disaster has deepened an already severe humanitarian crisis, with some countries reluctant to provide aid to the country under the Taliban.
