Russia holds first rehearsal for Victory Day military parade

Russia on 29th April held the first rehearsal for the upcoming Victory Day military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, Russia's term for World War II.

Two additional rehearsals are scheduled for May 3 and May 7, with the main event set to take place on Red Square in Moscow on May 9. Russia holds military parades on May 9 every year to commemorate the Soviet Union's victory in the Great Patriotic War against Nazi Germany.
