Russia and China FMs hold talks in Uzbekistan

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov hold talks with China's Foreign Minister Qin Gang in Uzbekistan on Thursday on the sidelines of the annual ministerial conference of countries neighboring Afghanistan.

Lavrov said at the beginning of the talks in Samarkand that Russia and China should intensify efforts in all areas of cooperation.The Russian and Chinese leaders also met in March in Moscow, pledging to further bolster their “strategic cooperation,” develop cooperation in energy, high-tech industries and other spheres and expand the use of their currencies in mutual trade.
