






Union Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development U Hla Moe along with the officials on Thursday made inspection on upgrading processes of village road that connects Thae Kaw Lay and Wae Gyi Villages in Lewe Township.
The facility could benefit over 4,000 locals from 988 households. He heard update reports on work implementation by the officials from the Department of Rural Road Development. Upon the reports, the Union Minister instructed for completion of working processes in timely manner and meeting the set standard. He also stressed for collaborative efforts of locals and officials for long term durability of the road.
Then, the Union Minister coordinated the requirement on distribution of irrigated water and implementation processes for the development of rural areas. At Yone Taw Village in Mway Yoe Kyaung Su Village-tract, the Union Minister and party oversaw the plantations of pre-monsoon cotton and other crops, jointly implemented by Shwe War Tun (2) Agriculture Production Cooperative Co. Ltd., and Myanmar Uni-Semi Co. Ltd.,.
Upon the reports, the Union Minister instructed the needs for preparation measures for cultivating the marketable crops after harvesting monsoon paddy and other crops.
Then, the Union Minister and party visited Zaung Chan Gone Village in Pyinmana Township and met with the local people. Official from the Department of Rural Development reported on the situations of current village development works and implementation of Zaung Chan Gone village as a smart village.
Upon the reports, the Union Minister said that the establishment of the smart village will be implemented in line with the 6 characteristics including the developing process of basic infrastructure, assistance of inputs and cash, vocational and rural economic development works, sharing technology, social protection and preservation of natural environment. He called for collaborative efforts of local community in implementing their village as a smart facility.
