Rural Development Works: Agriculture, road upgrading and vocation training

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe held a meeting on Friday with member farmers of cooperative associations in Phyu Township. Officials provided updates on monsoon paddy yields and outlined plans for the cultivation of winter crops and summer paddy.
The Union Minister emphasized the importance of extended cultivation of quality paddy species and ensured the provision of necessary resources. Following the meeting, the Union Minister and officials inspected the gravel paving progress of the Baw Nat Kyi-Kin Chaung Road in Bago Township.
The Union Minister instructed for the timely completion of the project, meeting the set standards. Additionally, he met with the staff of the Rural Road Development Department, providing further instructions. They then proceeded to Tatkalay Myauk Su Village, where the Union Minister examined the concrete paving of a village road. He emphasized the need for long-term sustainability in the development works.
On arrival at the Training Center of the Cottage Industry Department, the Union Minister inspected the training sessions focused on producing fruit-based value-added products for income generation in rural communities. He pledged to provide necessary equipment for running businesses to five outstanding trainees.
