Rural Development: Union Minister inspects development works in Shan State

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung on 13th December inspected construction of roads in Mae Ne  and Lwe Maw mountain ranges in Hopone Township.

The Union Minister and party inspected the construction progress of earthen road and 4 box culvert on Kaung Kalun-Lwe Mine Hill (Point 8263) road, Pankala-Donlitan , Par Khet-Pankala and Pan Sauk-HaiNwe ့ roads as well as drainages and box culverts, and gave instructions.

They then arrived at the Training School for Development of Nationalities Youth from Border Areas in Hsaik Khaung , and made a speech, providing cash assistance for the staff and students. They also inspected the hostels, library and cultivation of seasonal crops.

In meeting with the staff of Women Vocation Training School in Hsaik Khaung, the Union Minister provided the needs, inspecting the lecture rooms, hostels, training halls and poultry farm. On the 14th, the Union Minister and party arrived at Shan State Development Supervisory Office (Taunggyi), and provided cash assistance for the staff.

They also visited Swe Taw Monastery in Ayeyawady and Htat Eain Gu Monastic Education School in Nyaung Shwe and donated offertories for Syayadaw and members of the Sangha, providing assistance for the students.

They later visited Aung Pan Technical and Vocation Education Training School and inspected the training lecture and construction works in the school compound. Then, the Union Minister inspected the construction of rural roads in Kalaw and instructed for timely completion of the projects, meeting the set standard.
