Rural Development: Supervisory Committee holds meeting 2/2023

The Rural Development Supervisory Committee held the work coordination meeting 2/2023 at the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development on Tuesday with the attendance of the Chairman of Committee Union Minister U Hla Moe, Deputy Minister, and other concerned officials.

At the meeting, the Union Minister said that the government is striving for narrowing development gab between urban and rural areas and reducing proverty. As the committee, Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan (MSDP) and Rural Development Strategic Framework (RDSF) are being implemented to accelerate the rural development and poverty reduction progress.

And, the Secretary of Rural Development Supervisory Committee Director General of the Department of Rural Development explained the conditions on the implementation of the decisions made in the previous meeting. The meeting continued with the discussions on matters including agriculture and livestock sector, social affairs and environmental conversation.

And, the Union Minister concluded the meeting, urging all to strive for the development of socio-economic life which could lead for the development of country’s economy. Later the day, the Union Minister met with the trainees from the Skill Enhancement Training Course opened for district heads and 1/2023 Training Course for Using MIS System at the Department of Rural Development and gave necessary instructions.
