Rural Development: Road upgrading works in Hmawby Township

The Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development is implementing development projects aimed at the socio-economic progress of rural communities.

In Hmawby Township, Yangon Region, the ministry is undertaking road construction projects funded by the Regional Government for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. It includes the concrete paving of village roads in Htein Sun Village. This project will cover over 760 feet in length, 10 feet in width, and have a depth of 6 inches, with a total cost exceeding 130 million kyat.

Additionally, an inter-village road connecting Bwet Gyi and Taung Poe Tayar Villages is being upgraded to asphalt paving. This road spans over 3,500 feet in length and is 12 feet wide, with a budget allocation of over 391 million kyat.
