Rural Development Projects: Livestock Breeding Zones, Oil Mill and Fertilizer Plant

The Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development is striving to promote the use of natural fertilizers in agricultural practices by establishing Fertilizer Plants through investments and technologies from the Ross Congress of Russia.

In order to ensure a steady supply of raw materials required for these plants, Union Minister U Hla Moe conducted an inspection tour of the Shwe Myo and KanG yi Livestock Breeding Zones in Tatkone Township.  After hearing the reports on work undertakings, the Union Minister stated that once the fertilizer plants are established, the raw materials would be sourced from the livestock breeding zones.

He further emphasized that this project would benefit not only the fertilizer plants but also the livestock breeders. The Union Minister later proceeded to Pobbathiri Township to observe the operational process of the Oil Mill run by Kyauk Sein Cooperatives Association and the Fertilizer Plant operated by Sanwady Cooperatives Association.
