Rural Development: MCRD Union Minister inspects rural roads and meets farmers

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe on Sunday, inspected the concrete paving of Kyauk Ai- Kyar Kan Su Village road in Hlegu Township of Hmawby District in Yangon Region.

Officials reported on the work undertakings and the Union Minister instructed for timely completion of the tasks, meeting the set standard. They then arrived at Khayaung Village, and met with member farmers of Cooperative Associations, community elders and departmental staff.

The Regional Officer of the Cooperative Department reported on the plan for summer paddy cultivation, and the Union Minister stressed the need to follow good agricultural practice for boosting yeilds.

During the meeting, 414 bags of paddy seed were provided for two cooperative associations. They then inspected concrete paving on the 640 ft long village road in Wayahkone Village, and instructed for long term maintenance of the facility.
