





Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe visited Naung Moon Village in Pinlaung Townshipof Shan State (South) on August 1st to meet with the members of LivestockCoopertive Association.
The association, comprised with 15 members, engages in cow breeding farm. The Deputy Minister called for extended breeding of native breeds, providing the needs for infrastructures. They then proceeded to 2,000-ton capacity Potato Cold Storage Facality of Naungtayar Cooperative Association.
The facility has been initiated by establishing 30 tons capacity storage, and it was upgraded with the guidance of the State Administration Council Chairman. Moreover,the Mobile Cool Rooms were also set up with 48 tons capacity to be able to use as necessary.
The Deputy Minister also inspected the Fertilizer Plant and test cultivation of potato by tissue culture method. In meeting with chili growers,the Deputy Minister discussed market condition and production of value-added products.
In Kalaw, the Deputy Minister inspected the tarred paving of inter-village road, and instructed for timely completion of the tasks, meeting the set standard. On arrival at Innpawkhon Smart Village in NyaungShweTownship, the Deputy Minister met with the trainees of traditional weaving technique training course.
Since the village is implementing weaving industry under One Village One Product program, the Deputy Minister provided necessary instructions for work undertakings and development works.
