Rural development: Dy Minister makes a field trip to Rakhine State

Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe togehter with officials met the staff from 4 departments under the Ministry at the Department of Rural Development in Sittway of Rakhine State on Thursday and called for serving the duties responsibly, taking part in the state's economic promotion tasks in respective sectors, following civil servant rules and regulations, free from political parties and cooperation in policy and work programs of the Ministry.

The Deputy Minister and party then held meeting with the state and district level heads and officials of Yun Lyan Agricultural Supporting Company of Cooperative Syndicate in Rakhine State and discussed purchasing indigenous dairy cows and cultivation of evergreen grass for feed stuff. The Deputy Minister and party then visited Weaving and Vocational Training School of the Small Scales Industry Department in Sittway.

There, he stressed on innovation of modern weaving designs and conducting diploma course and encouraged trainees who are learning the training courses for textile experts. From there, the Deputy Minister and party looked into water supply tasks and home service water meter installation of Kyat Taw Pyin village conducted by the Department of Rural Development and coordinated the needs.

They then inspected village-road concrete paying in Pyar Lae Chaung village implementedby Emarald Green village project of the Department of Rural Development and gave instructions on progress of works. They then met members of Emarald Green Village Project Committee and fulfilled the needs on rural development tasks.

In the evening, the Deputy Minister and party met Rakhine State Chief Minister and heard reports of cow breeding by forming cooperative societies in Taw Kan and Nga Tauk Tet villages in Sittway township, purchasing indigenious cows and plans for feed stuff on which the Deputy Minister fulfilled the needs.
