Rural Development: Development works in Thanlyin Township inspected

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe and officials arrived at the construction site of 6,660-ft long road, Kyaung Kone- SeikGyi section, BoGyoke Village in Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region on 2nd March.

At the site, official from the Rural Road Development Department reported on the status of the construction. The Union Minister instructed to supervise the task to meet the standard, and urged local community to cooperate in road maintenance works for long term durability.

Afterwards, they inspected the construction site. Then, the Union Minister and party proceeded to KayinSeik Village and met with members of the Village committee, community elders and villagers.

An official from Rural Development Department presented the development measures in KayinSeik village, on which the Union Minister stressed the ministry’s efforts to increase income of the people in rural areas and to uplift socio-economic life of farmers by providing assistance for the agriculture and breeding activities, organizing cooperative associations, assisting good quality seeds and inputs as well as achieving strong market demands for agriculture and livestock products.

Afterwards, the Union Minister and party observed piggery, construction of Concrete road and village library, and urged all to make collaborative efforts for sustainability of development works in the village.
