Roundtable Conference: 4th Lancang-Mekong Audiovisual week

The 4th Lancang-Mekong Audiovisual week Roundtable Conference was held at the Yunnan Media Broadcasting Center in Kunming, Yunnan Province of China on 16th August.

Information high ranking officials from South Asia countries, heads of broadcasting stations and representatives of relevant media organizations attended the conference and exchanged views on development of broadcasting sector in respective countries, penetrating into the South Asia and South-East Asia markets while promoting quality programs, media cooperation and development in future, broadcasting program exchange, translation and emphasis on copyright.

At the roundtable discussion, Director General of Myanma Radio and Television U Ye Naing discussed social and cultural similarities in Mekong regions, remarkable places of Myanmar and unique sceneries, efforts for media sector development and plans to assist by inviting international media to make films. After the discussion, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar signed an expression of interest to cooperate with China in the Mekong Look App that will be jointly conducted by media from Mekong region countries.
