Romanian planes bring COVID patients to Germany

A Romanian military plane brought six COVID-19 patients to Germany on Tuesday for treatment. The plane landed at Hamburg airport and the patients, who are seriously ill, were transported to several German hospitals in the cities of Hamburg, Kiel and Lübeck.

In the next days, more planes are expected to bring Romanian COVID patients to Germany. currently, Romania is particularly hard hit by the pandemic, amid an overloaded health system. Only just under a third of Romania's inhabitants have been vaccinated and the 14-day incidence was recently over 1,000.
