Role of Library & Reading: Chief Minister attends promotion event in Myitkyina

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan on Tuesday attended the opening of the library development and reading habit promotion event at the School of Education and Training in Myitkyina.

The event began with a stage performance by students. And, the Chief Minister gave a speech. It continued with stage performances by the students. Then, the Chief Minister donated books to the school library and presented awards to winners at essay competition regarding the reading habit promotion event.

There, the Chief Minister also viewed the books on display for the library development and reading habit promotion event. And, a video clip titled the ‘For the Country’ was screened. This event also included poetry recitation, drawing, coloring and impromptu competitions. And, awards were presented to the winning students.
