Rocket with two NASA satellites launched from NZ

NASA and Rocket Labs launched two storm tracking CubeSats on a rocket into orbit from New Zealand on Monday.

The rocket, Electron, carried two small storm tracking satellites called TROPICS into low Earth orbit. NASA said in a press release the rocket followed a trajectory inclined slightly to the northeast of the Mahia Peninsula. NASA TV showed the rocket launching from Mahia, New Zealand, on a sunny afternoon. An earlier launch was rescheduled due to bad weather.
