Engineers from around the world gathered at the International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo to showcase their inventions, including a massage robot by Chinese firm AUBO and Kaleido, a humanoid created by Japanese company Kawasaki that can pick up trash bags and carry boxes.
A spokesperson from Kawasaki Heavy Industries said that the humanoid robot is designed just like a real male human, with the height of 180 centimetres and the weight of 80 kilogrammes. The robot is fitted with many sensors and it can move autonomously. It aims to integrate AI into its system, enabling the robot to progressively enhance its autonomy and engage in self-learning processes.
