


Luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton is paying homage to 93-year-old Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama in its stores across the globe. A life-like animatronic version of Kusama now stands in the window of the Louis Vuitton store on 5th Avenue in New York, and it's already drawing a crowd.
The robot holds a paintbrush and appears to be painting colorful polka dots on the inside of the window.The exterior of the store also shows likeness of the robot painting giant colorful polka dots -- aSignature design associated with Kusama.
In Paris, a giant sculpture of Kusama looms outside its Louis Vuitton store, painting polka dots, while Tokyo has a special pop-up store devoted to the artist.The collaboration between Louis Vuitton and Kusama also extends to its inventory, featuring handbags, athletic shoes and sunglasses inspired by the work of the artist.
