Roads and Bridges Repaired: MOC Union Minister inspects the repair works of infrastructures

Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant and concerned Official inspected the repair works of damaged bridges and roads due to floods caused by surging water level of Sin Thay Creek in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 12th September.

They oversaw the building of temporary bailey bridge at the damaged site of Sin Thay Creek Bridge (Pappakone) and gave instructions to carry out the tasks as soon as possible in order to make the public's transportation convenient, the road connection uninterrupted and workplace safety. 

At Sin Tay Creek Bridge (Thaikchaung), they inspected the clearing of debris along the Pobbathiri Circular Road, repair works at the damaged bridge and preparations for a temporary Bailey Bridge. The flood also damaged the Ahsone Bridge on Yangon-Mandalay old road, and plans have been made to build a temporary bridge.

The Union Minister coordinated the needs to ensure uninterrupted flow of traffic and commodity using a detour road during the repair works.
