Road Closure: Traffic advisory for ceremony at Shwedagon Pagoda

On June 1st, a special ceremony will be held at Shwedagon Pagoda at 6:30 am, where donors from Viet Nam will offer rice and offertories to 5,555 members of the Sangha.

To ensure the smooth conduct of this event, several roads will be blocked and traffic will be diverted from 4:00 am until the ceremony concludes.

West Shwegondaing Road will be blocked at the junction of Shwegondaing Road, Martyrs’ Road from southern entrance of Shwedagon Pagoda to U Wizara Road, U Htaung Bo Road from U Htaung Bo Roundabout to U Wizara Roundabout, Shwedagon Pagoda Road from the southern entrance to Pantra Road, U Wizara Road from U Wizara Roundabout to Martyrs’ Road. Commuters are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow the traffic announcements on June 1st to avoid any inconvenience.
