Road Accident: 18 passengers injured due to traffic accident

18 passengers sustained injuries due to a road accident on the Dawei-Phaung Taw-Pyar Thar Chaung Road, which is 40 miles from Thapyu Chaung Village in Myitta Town of Thaninthayi Region.

The accident happened on April 2nd, as the passenger bus lost control due to over speed. Due to the accident, five male and thirteen female got injured, and they are now receiving treatment at Dawei People’s Hospital. On Thursday, Chief Minister U Myat Ko visited the hospital and offered words of encouragement to the injured patients and provided cash assistance.
