River Water Courses: Union Minister inspected Ayeyawady River resources

Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han, together with officials, visited Yone Hseik Village in Aunglan Township on Friday.

At the water resource site of Ayeyawady River, officials reported on the salient points of Ayeyawady delta, water courses of Ayeyawady River, differences of water surface level, flow of river water and its volume.

The Union Minister and party later inspected the condition of water flow of Ayeyawady River, silting in the river course, water transportation in the river and land condition along the river embankment.

On arrival at Hton Bo in Padaung Township of Bago Region, the Union Minister heard reports on Thayetan-Hton Bo river water course, differences of water surface level at its summer point and highest level and the sand bund along the water course.

The Union Minister inspected the condition of water flow, silting, extraction of pebble and land condition along the river embankment.
