River Surging: 5 Houses In Kyauk Htone Gyi Village-Tract, Sagaing Moved To Safer Place

5 houses in Kyauk Htone Gyi village-tract of Katha District in Sagaing Region were moved to safer place because of bank erosion caused by Ayeyawady River surging. Katha Township Fire Service Department and Kyauk Htone Gyi Fire Service Station moved the houses to safer place on Tuesday.

The danger level of Ayeyawady River in Katha District is 1,040-cm and in the previous year, the Ayeyawady river reached 1,088-cm above its danger mark. On 14th July, the water level of Ayeyawady river was at 1,021-cm, according to information and Public relations Department.
