River-going hospital vessel: Mobile Medical team provided medical services

The Tatmadaw River-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (ShwePuzun) and riverine boat (Sagu) with the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Teams comprised of specialists, medical officers and nurses onboard which are in Ayewarwady Region to provide healthcare services to local people from villages in delta area along the Ayeyarwady River.

The medical teams provided healthcare services to 260 local residents from TaungKaLay village and surrounding villages in MyaungMya Township on 15th January based in Byamawihara monastery. The mobile medical team provided medical services to 81 patients, surgical operations for 21 patients, 26 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, 23 patients with pediatric diseases, 32 patients with orthopedic diseases, 25 patients with Ear Nose Throat related diseases, 35 patients with eye diseases, 17 patients with dental diseases.

Moreover, the medical team also carried out the general operation for 8 patients and eye operation for 7 patients, took X-ray scans for 6 patients, ultrasound scans for 21, 16 patients for ECG and 18 patients for lab tests, it’s learnt.
