River-going hospital vessel: Mobile Medical team provided medical services

The Tatmadaw River-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (Shwe Puzun) and riverine boat (Sagu) with the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Teams onboard which are in Ayewarwady Region to provide healthcare services to local people from villages in delta area along the Ayeyarwady River provided healthcare services to 1515 local residents from KaNaSoe village and surrounding villages in Wakema Township on 14th January.

 The mobile medical team provided medical services to 570 patients, surgical operations for 118 patients, 80 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, 88 patients with pediatric diseases, 122 patients with orthopedic diseases, 346 patients with eye diseases,109 patients with Eye Nose Throat related diseases, 82 patients with dental diseases.

Moreover, the medical team also carried out the general operation for 56 patients and eye operation for 30 patients, took X-ray scans for 37 patients, ultrasound scans for 102, 96 patients for ECG and 155 patients for lab tests. And the team made necessary arrangements for the patients who need medical services at Tatmadaw hospitals in Yangon and station medic units in Pathein Township.

 Such providing medical services were viewed and encouraged by the commander of South-West Command Brigadier General Kyi Khaing and officials, coordinated requirements and presented nutritious foods for the Tatmadaw mobile medical team, it’s learnt.
