The Manzanares river in Venezuela's eastern Sucre state is flooded after passage of Hurricane Beryl.

Hurricane Beryl swept across the southeastern Caribbean as a Category 4 storm, killing at least one person in Venezuela, according to officials. Beryl is the first storm since US National Hurricane Center records began to reach the Category 4 level in June, and the earliest to reach Category 5 in July.
