Right to Information: Union Minister visits IPRD Offices in Ayeyawady Region

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn visited Information and Public Relation Departments in DanuPhyu and Zalun Townships and Hinthata District of Ayeyawady Region on Saturday.

During his inspection tour, the Union Minister met with the staff, and urged them to enhance the work processes of information and providing knowledge. He also said that today’s media businesses play vital role in providing right to information and sharing true news to the public.

He also encouraged the staff to try hard for the best in providing services of informing, educating and entertaining to the public. He added that the public libraries are upgraded to digital system and plans are making to enhance for providing better services.

He also called for holding discussion sessions in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, aiming for the youths to improve their outlook. The Union Minister later provided cash assistance to the staff.
