Rice Offering: Bago Region Government organizes the ceremony

Organized by the Bago region Government, the Sangha Maha Pawah Rana Pwe and rice offering ceremony was held at the ordination halls of the western archway of Shwe Mawdaw Pagoda in Bago on Sunday.

At the Maha Thiwali ordination hall, 2,852 sanghas from 358 monasteries held 1,021st Pawah Rana ceremony led by Myoma Monastery Sayadaw in Bago, 190 sanghas held at 157th such kind of religious ceremony at the ordination hall of Kyakhet Waing monastery, and other Sanghas and monks led by Sayadaws held the ceremonies at the respective ordination halls.

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, concerned officials and well-wishers donated cash, offertories and rice to sanghas and monks. Led by Bago Region Government, the regional level departments contributed over 35.1 million kyats for the ceremonies.
