







The opening ceremony for the rice milling and sorting machine of the Aunglan Thar Cultivation and Production Cooperative Society, constructed with funding from the National Economic Promotion Fund loan, was held in front of the rice milling and sorting machine in Duringabo Village, Aunglan Township, Aunglan District, Magway Region on December 29. Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, accompanying ministers, responsible officials from Region/District/Township-level departments, and cooperative member farmers attended the ceremony.
First, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and accompanying ministers cut the ribbon to open the rice milling and sorting machine of the Aunglan Thar Cultivation and Production Cooperative Society, presented an honorarium to the Drum and Bugle Corps, and inspected the Aunglan Thar Cultivation and Production Cooperative Society’s rice milling and cleaning machine.
Subsequently, the Region Chief Minister and responsible officials held a discussion meeting with cooperative member farmers. Region Chief Minister stated that for the construction of the rice milling and sorting machine, which is necessary and beneficial for the region, the region government had approved a 200-million-kyat loan from the National Economic Promotion Fund. He noted that the region's needs have been addressed, and the cooperative-owned rice drying machine can process about 800 baskets per day, while the cooperative-owned rice milling and sorting machine can mill and process over 1,400 baskets per day. This will benefit over 1,500 acres of farmland and around 700 farmers. Furthermore, not only the 1,208 member farmers of this cooperative but also non-member farmers can join the cooperative, enabling it to serve the interests of farmers. He urged the members to work together to ensure the long-term stability and success of the cooperative.
Following this, the Chairman of the Aunglan Thar Cultivation and Production Cooperative Society explained the operational status, and a member expressed words of gratitude, it is reported.
