






The closing ceremony of Rice Milling Technological Skill Training which is jointly conducted by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Myanmar Rice Federation was held at the office of the Ministry of Commerce, Nay Pyi Taw on 31st July.
At the occasion, the Union Minister for Commerce said that efforts are needed to implement the whole Supply Chain including cultivation, milling and distribution for the development of Myanmar rice industry.
This training was opened with the aim to develop human resources including the rice mill engineers and operators, to disseminate the basic and modern rice milling technologies and to handle the challenges like keeping the quality of rice facing in post- harvesting period.
He urged to put the collaborative efforts to be able to develop rice industry in Myanmar and penetrate the international markets. The Union Minister for Industry also said that it is needed to implement to be able to expand the cultivation of quality paddy seeds and milling processes with modern technologies in time and all the trainees are urged to cooperate in the efforts for the development of rice industry.
The Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation continuously said that rice is the main edible crop of our country and it is being the industry earning foreign income.
The relevant ministries, organizations and entrepreneurs and farmers are needed to put joint efforts into the development of rice industry.
Afterwards, the Union Ministers and Chairman of Myanmar Rice Federation presented the course completion certificates and one trainee expressed words of thanks.
