Rice and cash donation: Shan State Government donated rice bags and cash donation

The donation ceremony of 50 rice bags and 3 million Kyats of cash donation offered by the Shan State Government to the members of Sangha residing at Buddha University in Shan State was held at the Buddha University’s Community Hall for the religious activities in the morning on January 12.

At the ceremony, the congregation led by the Shan State Chief Minister Dr. Kyaw Tun, state minister for social affairs, state advocate general and state government secretary observed five precepts administered by the Rector of the Buddha University Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Aggamaha Ganthavacaka Pandita Maha Dhammakathikabahujana Hitadhara Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Dhammasami and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha.

Next, the Chief Minister Dr. Kyaw Tun offered the 50 rice bags and 3 million Kyats of cash donation donated by the Shan State Government to the Rector of the Buddha University Aggamaha Saddhammajotikadhaja Aggamaha Ganthavacaka Pandita Maha Dhammakathikabahujana Hitadhara Sayadaw Dr. Baddanta Dhammasami and shared the merits gained, it’s reported.
