A total of 596 Myanmar migrant workers returned home from Thailand through No.2 Border Bridge in Myawady Town, Kayin State, on 17 July.
Those persons returned home were picked up in express buses by the district level responsible officials to Mae Sot. The necessary arrangements were carried out for them to keep them under quarantine at the quarantine centers of the respective regions and states.
The returnees come back home daily in the morning and evening times were warmly welcomed by the officials of Myawady district, State Hluttaw representative, officials from district police force, health staff, staff from immigration department, volunteers and departmental officials and their food was arranged by WFP.
