Return from Russia Trip: Union Minister for Industry arrives back in Yangon

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than returned from their Russia trip on Saturday evening. The delegation was welcomed back by concerned officials at the Yangon International Airport.

During their trip in Russia, the delegation attended the opening of the 13th Industrial Trade Fair in Yekaterinbur and visited the Trade Fair and participated in the Panel Discussion titled ‘Sustainable Manufacturing Strategies of Renewal’ with a discussion on ‘Building Economic Relations and Protecting your Own Manufacturer’.

They also attended a dinner hosted by the Sverdlovsk Region Governor. The Union Minister also held talks with a delegation led by Mr. Denis Manturov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Industry and Trade of Russia.

The Myanmar delegation also visited the geological display room at the Ural State Mining University, the Museum complex of military and civil equipment of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company and Stone-crafting House by Alexey Antonov.

They also held a meeting with Minister for International Business Relations of Sverdlovsk Region for development of Myanmar’s industry sector, technology assistance for iron and steel industries, minerals exploration and MSME development.
