Retired police K9 is rescued from a well

Rescuers saved a retired police K-9 dog Wednesday in Chula Vista after the animal fell down a well.

The German Shephard was being walked by its owner, a U.S. Navy veteran, when the dog disappeared into the well's opening, which had been covered by brush. Crews took the dog to a veterinarian for a possible broken leg after the four-hour rescue operation.
